At American Bank, we recognize, respect and protect the personal privacy rights of all of our customers. We realize that our customers
entrust us with personal information and it is our policy to maintain our customers’ information in a confidential manner. We are committed
to providing the highest level of security and privacy regarding the collection and use of our customers’ personal information. We value
your business and the trust you put in American Bank.
In order to bring you the financial products and services you want and expect, we collect, maintain, and use information about you on a
routine basis. To help you better understand how your personal information is protected here at American Bank, we are providing you with the
following notice describing our practices and policies with respect to the privacy of customer information.
SOME IMPORTANT DEFINITIONS
Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service
to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or
government records. Hereafter, we will use the term “information” to mean nonpublic personal information as defined in this section.
An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same
company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.
Nonaffiliated third party is a person we do not employ or a company that is not an affiliate of ours. This is also known as
nonaffiliated third party, or simply, an “other party”.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
If you apply for a loan or a new account we ask you to provide personal information. As a trusted financial institution, we collect, retain,
and use nonpublic personal information about individual customers, as allowed by law, to provide products and services to our customers. We
may collect nonpublic personal information from such sources as:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others;
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency; and
- Information that we receive in response to requests we make to third parties about you or to confirm information that you have provided
to us, particularly in the process of evaluating applications for loans and new accounts.
INFORMATION WE SHARE
We may share information we have about our experiences or transactions with you or your account with the company which owns American Bank or
with our affiliates to service your accounts. For example, this may include your name, address, account balances, account activity, payment
history, deposit history, parties to the transaction, credit card usage, and telephone numbers. We reserve the right to disclose information
about our experience with you to affiliates we may acquire in the future, such as an insurance or investment company. Federal law allows us
to disclose the information listed above with our affiliates. You do not have a right to opt out of the disclosure of this
information.
We may also share such information with certain nonaffiliated third parties (under limited circumstances) to the extent permissible under law
to service your account, offer you products or services we believe you may find valuable, report to credit bureaus, manage risk, and other
financial service related activities.
We do not share any nonpublic information about our customers, or former customers to anyone, except as disclosed in this policy or as
permitted by law. As an example this might include disclosures necessary to service your account or prevent unauthorized
transactions.
We do not sell, rent or otherwise provide customer information to outside companies so they can market non-financial services to you.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
Access to your personal information is limited to those American Bank employees who need to know the information to provide products and
services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect your nonpublic
information.
