100% Coverage
We guarantee that you will be covered 100% for any lost or misplaced funds originating from the unauthorized use of our pcbanker Online Banking service because of:
- An error made by us or a third party vendor acting on our behalf that causes an unauthorized or erroneous transaction to or from your account; or
- An error made by our computer systems.
Except to the extent otherwise covered by law, our Online Banking Guarantee does not cover losses resulting from third parties that fraudulently access your computer or your online security identification and engage in transactions from your account. See Your Responsibility below.
Bill Payment Service Guarantee
Thanks to the Bill Payment Service Guarantee, you can be assured that your electronic payments are safe and reliable. That's because when your payments are processed through the pcbanker Bill Payment Service, you are protected in the unlikely event of unauthorized transactions or processing delays. See our Bill Payment Agreement to learn more.
Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Bill Payment Service, particularly delays in handling and posting payments by Payees or financial institutions, some transactions may take longer to be credited to your account. However, our Bill Payment Service will bear responsibility for any late payment related charges up to $50.00 should a payment post after its Due Date as long as the payment was scheduled in accordance with the guidelines described under "Bill Payment Scheduling" in the Bill Payment Agreement.
With the Bill Payment Service Guarantee, you know your payment will get to where it's supposed to go - safely and reliably.
Advanced Online Security
We protect your online information by using a combination of security precautions to protect data, you, and the Bank including Sign-On ID's and passwords, a VeriSign-issued Digital ID for the Bank's server, the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol for data encryption, and a firewall to regulate Internet traffic.
Every customer wishing to access online banking using pcbanker is required to have a unique Sign-On ID and Password, which should be shared with no one. We recommend that passwords be a combination of alpha-numeric characters and contain both letters and numbers.
We have registered our secure Web sites with VeriSign and use VeriSign Server ID's. VeriSign Server ID's enable our online customers to verify the authenticity of our secure Web site and to communicate with our Web site securely via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. SSL encryption is designed to protect confidential information (e.g., credit card numbers, online forms, and financial data) from unauthorized disclosure while in transit from your computer to ours. We also require the use of a secure browser with 128-bit encryption to access account information and perform transactions.
To further aid in protecting your information, you will receive session confirmation emails after completing an online banking session. This email will detail the date and time you signed on to and signed off of your most recent online banking session within pcbanker. Finally, also available within online banking is a time-out feature that detects account inactivity and automatically ends your banking session to protect you.
Safeguarding Your Money

Your Responsibility
At American Bank, we are committed to making sure that we are doing everything we can to ensure that your personal information is protected. However, we can't do it alone -- we need your help! Help us so we can help you have the peace of mind of knowing we are protecting your information, together. In order to be covered by American Bank's Online Banking Guarantee, we ask that you follow these simple guidelines:

- Enter all of your payee and payment information completely and correctly.
- Review your payee information periodically.
- Make sure there are sufficient funds in your account.

Bill Payment Agreement and the
Electronic Funds Transfer Disclosure
that was provided to you and that describe all aspects of using our service. You are responsible to keep
your Sign-On ID, account numbers, Password and other account data confidential.
While American Bank employs the security measures described above to ensure the security of your personal information, you must take the necessary measures to protect the computer system you will use to access your American Bank accounts. Therefore, we suggest that you take the following precautions to ensure that your home computers are protected when you access the Internet:
- Make sure that you have the most current release of the software you are running on your computer. This can be done by going to the web site of the operating system vendor (for example, Microsoft) and downloading and installing all new system updates and patches.
- Be sure to update your anti-virus software often and add (or update) a personal firewall to your personal computer.
- Install anti-spyware software on your personal computer as this will prevent various web sites from placing malicious programs on your computer.
