International Travel - Security Alert
American Bank is committed to protecting your personal data as well as your money.
If you are planning to travel outside of the U.S., we recommend that you contact us with the dates and locations to prevent your Check Card or Credit Card from being blocked. You may also want to update the bank’s records to include a cell phone number where you can be reached.
To update your information, you can:
- send a Secured Message when you access your accounts through the "Mailbox" function within pcbanker
,
- complete and submit a Change of Address form, or
- provide a written request either by mail or in-person.
Check Cards
When fraudulent Check Card activity is suspected, you will be contacted by a fraud analyst to verify the transaction either by telephone, letter or Secured Message. In the event that your Check Card is blocked, you may call 888.366.6622 (inside the U.S.) or 610.366.1800 (outside the U.S.), Monday – Friday (excluding Federal Holidays) from 8 AM to 5 PM ET, to verify the charges and/or inquire about the block on your Check Card.
In the event your Check Card is lost or stolen, you may call 800.264.5578 (inside the U.S.) or 701.461.0621 (outside the U.S.).
Credit Cards
For your protection, we monitor your Credit Card by utilizing real-time fraud monitoring which will aid in the prevention of fraud immediately by declining the transaction while the fraudster is still at the point-of-sale.
When fraudulent Credit Card activity is suspected, you will be contacted immediately by a fraud analyst to verify the transaction. In the event that your Credit Card is blocked, you may call Card Services at 800.437.9392 (inside the U.S.) or 727.570.4881 (outside the U.S.) to verify the charges and/or remove the block on your Credit Card.
In the event your Credit Card is lost or stolen, you may call 800.325.3678 (inside the U.S.) or 727.570.4881 (outside the U.S.).
